Catherine McAuley House forms part of a complex owned by the Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy.
The complex includes a listed building called Guinness House (originally part of the Guinness estate) convent and a centre for older persons and persons with disabilities known as Rockfield (now closed).

Residents’ accommodation is separated from the former Rockfield centre and convent by means of a keypad operated double door at the end of the main corridor.
The centre is a single storey building which has capacity for twenty four residents, and categories of care include care of the older person and respite care.

Admissions are primarily restricted to members of the Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy, although in recent years two lay persons have been admitted who lived alongside the congregation for many years.

Irish Nursing Homes in Ireland and Our Irish Health System

Leadership comes in many guises. True leadership must have at its core an integrity and a heart.
We expect our Irish Health System, acting as a leader, guide and mentor,
to look to its people with an outstretched hand.

It should assist and support in every way possible and together we will achieve those very high goals we all deserve

We must always strive for a better health and overall care for everyone.
We must continually challenge our standards of safety and the quality of our health services
